Alyssa Pfluger
Public Relations/Social Media/Troupe Mentor/Workshop Presenter
Alyssa is pursuing her dream of environmental studies pursuing her Masters in Urban Planning student at San Jose State University after completing an Americorps fellowship with Civic Spark Water Sustainability in San Francisco. She is the Workplace Support Coordinator at Earthjustice, San Francisco.
Previously, Alyssa graduated from Valparaiso University’s Christ Honor’s College with a double major in Communications Public Relations and Humanities/Pre Law and a double minor in Environmental Sciences and the Fundamentals of Business. She was President of Earthtones, Valpo’s environmental sustainability club, part of the Honor’s Council, an Honor’s Council Investigator, a reporter for the Valpo Torch newspaper, and on Wernberg House Council.
Alyssa loves making a difference in the lives of teens and the arts. She interned for LATTE with marketing and public relations, managing social media content, including this website. Alyssa ran TIP, Theater in Practice, for ages 4-12 and was part of LATTE Theater for ten years. She’s graduated from the Brookfield Zoo’s Science Track, internships in the Field Museum’s Environment, Culture, and Conservation (ECCo) department, and with the Alliance for Water Efficiency and Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum.
