Sarah Herndon
Medical Writer, Editor and Court Advocate
Presenting: Using your strength and space and on and off the stage
Sarah is a Medical Writer, Editor and Court Advocate. Upon graduation, Sarah moved to the Chicago area and quickly became involved with the Theatre of Western Springs. Roles at TWS include Mina in Dracula, Nina in The Quick-Change Room, Victoire in Hotel Paradiso, Nellie Ewell in Summer and Smoke, and a supportive role in Slaughterhouse-Five. Backstage credits include costume, makeup, and hospitality crews, as well as stage managing.
Sarah enjoys membership in TWS’s Playwriting Workshop; she authored The Real Mrs. Jones and Spurse Change which were performed in the Cattell wing. She also enjoyed joining the Directors Workshop last season and directed Bad Auditions by Bad Actors in Winter 2013. Sarah writes a monthly column for the TWS subscriber base, focusing on a different Active Member of TWS and learning the story of how they became involved in theatre and the creative arts. A 2006 graduate of the University of Evansville’s (UE) Theatre Department, Sarah earned a double major BS in Theatre Performance and Writing. At UE, she took classes in playwriting, directing, acting, costuming, stage managing, backstage tech, set building, set design, dramaturgy, creative writing, and nonfiction writing…just to name a few!
