On stage, have you ever asked, Why are they asking me to wear this as a costume? Why are they asking me to change costumes right now? Learn from a costumer the design process.
Cheryl Newman, Costumer and Director, has been a theater kid her whole life. She recently quit her day job in special education to do theater stuff full time. She is the costume designer for Brightside Theater (Naperville’s only professional theater), the award winning BAM children’s theater in Hinsdale, and she directs and costumes for Wheaton North High school, the Westmont Park District and Westview Hills Middle School.
