Have you ever, as a parent or child, been trapped in the family vacation vehicle awaiting “wonderful destinations” that turn out to be… well… not so wonderful?
Leaving Iowa is a tribute to the “greatest generation”.  It is a toast to their idealism, and a little tad of a roast to the unfailing dedication to the “all American, classic, family road trip”.  It not only is a trip down nostalgia lane, bit a poignant tale of an existential journey of a son, while reflecting on the past vacations, finds peace and closure in the present. Most of all, it is just FUN!
